All Ireland Interclub Fourball

 

The All Ireland Interclub Fourball is a GUI Fourball Matchplay event aimed at those over 30 years of age and with a handicap of 15 or above.  In the provincial section, matches played are split between the home and away venue depending on the draw and the Leinster final is played at a neutral venue.  The Leinster champions go on the the All Ireland semi-finals.

The Basics:

  • Team consists of 10 players
  • Played off scratch
  • Four-Ball better ball Match Play
  • Handicap
    • NOT eligible if it was less than 15 in the previous calendar year
    • Combined handicap of each pair must NOT have been LOWER than 34 in the previous calendar year
  • Each player must have had a minimum of 4 returns in qualifying competitions recorded last year
  • Age – 30 years or over on 1st Jan in the year of the tournament
  • NO CADDIES

New Ross have been drawn to play against Wexford in the first round, with 3 matches taking place at home and 2 in Wexford.  The match will be played by Sunday 31st March 2019.
