All Ireland Fourball Trophy

 

The All Ireland Fourball Trophy is a GUI Fourball Matchplay event aimed at those over 30 years of age and with a handicap of 16 or above.  Matches are played are split between the home and away venue depending on the draw and the final is played over two legs.

The Basics:

  • Team consists of 10 players
  • Played off scratch
  • Four-Ball better ball Match Play
  • Handicap
    • NOT eligible if it was less than 16 on 1st Jan in the year of the tournament
    • Combined handicap of each pair must NOT have been LOWER than 36 on 1st Jan of the year of the tournament
    • Handicap held on 1st Jan in year of tournament will remain throughout
  • Each player must have had a minimum of 4 returns in qualifying competitions recorded last year
  • Age – 30 years or over on 1st Jan in the year of the tournament
  • NO CADDIES
