As you will have noticed, the greens are well on the way back to their best. Please help the cause by taking extra care to repair any pitch-marks that you see on the greens. The bunkers are in constant need of attention. If you are in a bunker, try to rake not just your own footprints and divot, but also as much of the bunker as time allows. Please leave the rakes either in a flat part of the bunkers or on the flat outside the bunker and not on the slopes of the bunkers as this leads to unfair situations for other golfers.
Paying Next Year’s Subscription
Now is a good time to consider making some down payments on your subscription for next year to avoid having to pay the whole amount in March. You can make payments towards next year’s subscription at any time in the bar using you GUI Card. You can choose how much you’d like to pay and make as many payments as you want – just ask any of the bar staff for details.
Rules of Golf
The R&A have the unenviable task of looking after the rules of golf and to be fair they do their best in promoting knowledge about the rules in an interactive and interesting fashion. As part of this they have a rules quiz on their website which they update regularly. Why not give it a go to see if you are a rules anorak or a rules novice.
