Michael Ryan Jnr at the South of Ireland in Lahinch
Congratulations to Michael Ryan Jnr on his performance in the South of Ireland last week. Micheal reached the fourth round of the famous old championships which has been played at Lahinch since 1895. Michael beat John Hayes (Limerick) 4&3, Ross Kenny (Naas) 3&1 and Keith Murphy (Charlesland) by 1 hole before meeting Stuart Bleakley of Shandon Park in the fourth round. Michael was one up at the turn, but eventually lost by 2&1. Bleakley went on to win the championship, recording comfortable victories all the way.
Entries are now being taken for the Mixed Foursomes matchplay. The top eight from qualifying rounds held on the weekends of August 9th & 10th and 16th & 17th will go forward to the knockout stage.
