Lady President’s (Anne Curtis) Prize to the Men’s Section
The timesheets are now live for the Lady President, Anne Curtis’ Prize to the Men’s Section. The competition (18h s’ford singles) takes place on Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd August. The Lady President’s Mixed (9h 3 Person team event) takes place on Thursday 21st August from 3.45pm. The Lady President’s night is on Saturday August 23rd from 9.30pm. Anne is a great member and supporter of the club down the years. As always, we hope you are able to take part in these events.
There has been good level of interest thus far in the Mixed Matchplay and there is still time to get involved. The top eight from qualifying rounds held on August 10th, 15th, 16th & 17th will go forward to the knockout stage. The format for the qualifying round is an 18h foursomes stableford. The full details have been posted on the Men’s noticeboard. Entry costs €10 per pair. To enter, put your name down on the timesheets for one of the timesheets for one of the qualifying days. Put the entry fee in the Men’s Competition Box. If you would like to play, but do not have a partner please contact James or Paul in the Pro Shop.
Cobra Demo Day
A Cobra Demo Day will take place on Monday August 11th between 4pm and 7pm. It’s a great opportunity to test out the full range of Cobra equipment and Cobra staff will be available to give advice on custom fitting, with the aid of their video analysis equipment. If you are interested in coming along, please contact James or Paul in the shop to book an appointment for that evening.
The Sunday Lunch special continues throughout the summer months with 3 courses on offer for just 17.50 and two courses for just 14.50. As always, guests and children are welcome. You can view the full Sunday Lunch Menu on the website:

Wexford Friends of Crumlin Children’s Hospital Golf Classic – Fri Aug 29th
The Wexford friends of Crumlin Children’s Hospital are running a golf classic at New Ross on August 29th as part of their fund raising activities. Last year they raised €40,000 for the hospital, and this money was used to purchase monitoring equipment for the central nursing station in the new St Teresa’s Cardiac ward. This equipment assisted in the care of many of Ireland’s babies with heart problems
